Pure Hold'em - Update now live!
Hello again,

We’re very pleased to be able to tell you that the Pure Hold’em update is now live! We appreciate that there have been some frustrations with the game, so we thank you for your patience whilst we’ve worked to get this out. This is a pretty major update that includes various bug fixes and also introduces some brand new features which should make for a better game experience all round. We appreciate some people have had issues with online connectivity which has resulted in online player numbers dropping significantly. We’ve made some improvements in that area and also introduced Scheduled Tournaments which allow players to join time controlled tournaments, which should help further. If at first you have delays finding players please persevere as things should start to improve.

We’re committed to getting things back on track so please continue to send us your feedback on the game and this update, either on these pages or via email at: support @ voofoostudios.com We also now receive automatic crash reports which make it easier for us to identify and work on fixes, where needed.

As a small gesture of goodwill we have also now added the Paradise City chipset DLC to existing Pure Hold'em players' games libraries, at no cost (normal price, £1.99). NB - This is for existing players only.

Here are the update details, in full:

• Improvements made to online connectivity.
• Private Tournaments – Players can now set up a private tournament and invite up to 7 friends to the table.
• Scheduled Tournaments – Scheduled tournaments allow players to join time controlled tournaments played on defined tables. Players can join the tournament table 15 minutes before it starts.
• Faster Tournament Starts – A timer will now appear once 4 or more players are sitting at a tournament table. Once the timer reaches zero, the tournament will start.
• Players are now awarded prizes for finishing first, second and third in tournaments. Displayed prizes are based on a full table of 8 players. Tournaments with less players will have reduced prize pots.
• Tournament prize pots explained on menu screen.
• In My Poker – Options, players can now switch the slow-mo cinematics on and off.
• Player thinking time reduced to 10 seconds on penthouse tables.
• Cards are now burned at the correct times (once before each community card is turned).
• Cards are now dealt in the correct order (player to the left of the dealer is always dealt the first card).
• Dealing is now handled correctly for when only two players are left in a tournament.
• Camera movement has been softened for when moving between players who are sitting far apart.
• Player chip management – High volumes of chips do not now obscure the player’s view of the game.
• ‘Raise’ now reads ‘Bet’ for the first bet on a hand.
• Several tutorial text errors fixed.
• Various minor bug fixes and improvements

Thanks again for all your feedback and support.

Try steam achievements not appearing in-game when you obtain them...
