It doesn't unlock by S ranking all of the missions, I unlocked it without doing that.
Also is it possible to import a save file with the mode unlocked? I'd rather not play through the game 4 more times if i don't have to. (But of course I'd love to unlock the mode myself.)
And I got the Drill already, tested in multiple saves and such.
I'm not sure, although I don't think it's necessary in this case. At least for now.
It doesn't even give you the option to enter the password?
Nope, just "This door is locked" or whatever. I haven't been able to find any save files on google either. Maybe this is just the game's way of saying "70 hours in 4 days is a bit much" and it's cutting me off.
In each playthrough from beginner - happy mode I:
1.) Made the master drill & collected all plat. coins from their locations
2.) Earned all the gold coins (Except for the one in the minecart event)
3.) Did each individual side mission that rewards a letter hint towards the door
4.) Made two saves to get the glitched achievements
4A.) Had a save with all areas done
4B.) Had a save with all areas except for Oblivion Abyss cleared
It could be an unexpected bug though. I see that you managed to clear both hard and happy mode in your achievements list at the same time, along with beginner mode about a hour later. If you remember, try describing how that occured. It is a possibility that the game did not register you beating 1 of the difficulties.
This is only a theory out of the blue, so don't rely a lot on what the problem could be.
EDIT: I actually still have a saved screenshot of completing hard mode boss rush with only 50 hp. This was before I ran through normal mode again to get the glitched normal mode achievement through beating all the levels except for Oblivion Abyss. This concludes that you do not need to beat Oblivion Abyss on all playthroughs to unlock boss rush. - just something to add to this issue.
I'll probably come back and try to re-finish this game at some point, but I'm taking a break with Blue Reflection.
On a related note, from looking on japanese forums, it appears that this game does a lot of tampering checks that crash the game when you try to load imported save files, but that might have been from the old version of the pc game.
Get all the wallpapers
Clear all difficulty levels
Get the drill (obviously)
