I'm having trouble with my Sorcerer, and being forced to micro-manage her more as a result. When I have a script active on her, and try to cast a spell, she refuses to cast and instead resumes using her sling. I don't remember having this problem with my mages while playing the original back in the day but I could be mistaken....

Hello, what you think about the Spear? Are there any reasons to pick it over the slashing weapons like 2h Axe and GreatSword? What you think about the Piercing damage type in IWD1? Is it worst or best one?

I've been playing through Icewind Dale for the first time and - apart from the second floor of Dragon's Eye - I've found my party (consisting of a Bard, Fighter/Thief, Barbarian, Fighter/Cleric, Druid and Sorcerer) more than capable of handling every challenge Insane difficulty has thrown my way up to early(?)
