Do they need the source code? There are enough copys of game so you can copy a real one and the game engine is the same across the lot isn't it? So it's just a matter of rebranding the source code from icewindale 1 and adding the data files from 2

It will need the devs to put in a bit more work as they will have edit one of the others engines but i think it could be done as all the data files still exist
And im no Gog fan boy eiether i have a gog account simply because Witcher 3 wasnt released on steam when it launched i think they were trying to do an EA and promote their own store

It will be worth it, if I cannot find it on Steam, many times I can find it on GOG. Its a pretty good site, plus they have a free launcher that collects all your games somewhat like Steam's does. (Although, I still prefer Steam's application.)

im just a bit anti launcher or we will end up with so many launchers running we wont have the resources to run game Gog is pretty good you can launch games without using launcher as it supplys games DRM free
Steam should do more to negotiate with big publishers over rates i think so we the user can keep our library in one place

Icewind Dale 2 is pretty good, although it is a completely different game from icewind dale (it's not even the same system as baldurs gate, icewind dale 1 or baldurs gate 2.) So, it's going to be harder to make an 'enhanced edition' unless you want people just to say it's a blatant copy.. like people say they did with Never Winter Nights (even though Never Winter Nights at least got the multiplayer servers restored.. which was the main thing).
