Hi guys,

One of the most common problems and bits of feedback we have received from the Steam community is players telling us that their gamepad is not working. We have tried our best to test the game with as many pads as we can but unfortunately we cannot test them all and so we wanted to give people a bit of advice on how to set their pad up.

General Advice

• Make sure drivers are up to date
• Don’t use a pad mapper, or at least turn it off when playing Coffin Dodgers

General Setup

Players can set up their game controls by going to the Settings menu in either the Main Menu or the In-game Menu. From these screens you can access Game Controls, allowing you to customise the in-game buttons to whatever best suits you. You can also customise the menu buttons by accessing the Menu Controls from the main menu.

Within Settings there is also another option, Single Player All PadsOn. This is a helpful option and one worth trying if it seems your gamepad isn’t working. Sometimes third party software can create virtual pads, which are recognised to be the player 1 pad in single player, rather than the physical pad you want to play with. Turn this setting on to ensure that all pads, physical and virtual, are recognised.

You can also calibrate any gamepads you have - this is especially useful for players who want to use a steering wheel. Below lists the options on this screen and what they mean:
Top row of text - this shows the current output from the pad and which aspect it it currently focusing on.
Advice - this text shows you what output the game is expecting for it to work properly.
Calibrate axis - clicking this allows you to set the minimum and maximum range on a wheel or a peddle for example.
Set zero - clicking this will set the current input to zero.
Invert axis - this will reverse the current axis for example the accelerator on some wheels returns one when not pressed and zero when pressed meaning you would have to lift your foot to accelerate.
Reset Axis - this will reset all of your changes.
