Hello, everyone! Nomad Idle is now playable in the Steam Playtest. It's playable up until Area 3!

In case you missed it in the previous post, I'm opting to do a Playtest because I want something playable on Steam, but doing a proper Demo at this time is just a bit too soon. I'll have more content available for the Demo as well. Expect that closer to NextFest in February.

Get rid of clickables

The title says it all. This is an idle game. I don't want to have to sit there and be active and click on stuff on the screen. I also don't want to feel like I am missing out on something by not doing the above. Just get rid of them.

Balance / QoL Recommendations

First, I'm speaking about the demo as of early DEC24. I'm working on the final reward for reaching level 200, but I have everything else unlocked and maxed. Quality of LIfe 1) Clicking on collectibles is mandatory to fully upgrade things like the Hunting Bow. This requirement doesn't respect the player's time since this becomes the opposite of "Idle". I had to leave the game running for two days and tab over to it obsessively in order to click the bag icons and hope for more Ore or Wood. Not fun! The...

Gotta say. The fact I have to keep this running ALL the time to make any true progress is annoying, if its not an idle game do not call it an Idle game. With that being said, the progression is rough, takes forever to really do anything and even after grinding for hours just for a few ascension levels you don't feel any sense of progression. The scaling for the upgrading levels and even the scaling for the ascension are all out of wack. I wouldn't be surprised if this is filled with micro-transactions to s...

Playtest content finished

So, my thoughts thus far,... Very solid game, graphics are good and gameplay is nice. Game needs some little things (changelog, exit to main menu, multiple saves and languages if possible) but otherwise is solid through and through. That being said,... Why has World 4 and second class been available then removed ? I can understand the mistake in leaving it accessible when it isn't finished, but removing it is more annoying than anything at that state. Thanks for the treat, though, it's been a fun game ...
