Instead, look for a server that is handpicked, community-vetted, and ready for competitive or casual play at https://www.hl2dm.com/community. This ensures you're playing on trusted servers.
A quick search for fastpath reveals why you should not be playing there.
If you need some real proof:
That is just some of the visible part that you any player can easily see. Those are hard, cold, proven facts.
Other facts if you care to look:
FastPath operates numerous fake servers that appear in the server browser. These servers often mimic popular server names or maps to lure players. Upon joining, players are redirected to a central FastPath server, often without their consent. This tactic misleads players and clutters the server list, making it challenging to find legitimate servers.
When a player connects to a FastPath server, their Steam authentication ticket is harvested and retained. This allows FastPath to spoof the presence of real players across their fake servers, making them appear more populated than they are. This manipulation can persist for up to five days, even after the player has disconnected.
In addition to fake player counts and bots, FastPath servers often display additional falsified information, including ping times, and map names. This deception can mislead players into thinking they're joining active, low-latency servers, only to find themselves in sparsely populated or bot-filled environments.
There have been reports of FastPath banning players and then requesting payment for unbanning them. Such practices are unethical and exploit players who may have unknowingly connected to these servers.
The proliferation of FastPath's fake servers disrupts the HL2DM community by overshadowing genuine servers. This not only hampers the growth of authentic communities but also degrades the overall player experience.
Basically, you got 2 or 3 punks around the community pushing their deceptive servers whereas the rest of the community, all games included, recommends avoiding those servers.
Obviously associated with the Farce path servers.
How does he not get banned for running obvious dodgy servers?
Nice to see that BOBSTAR has a new bum chum in Your Boi to spout ♥♥♥♥ about a ♥♥♥♥ server.
Anybody that plays there after all the warnings deserve all they get.
Dont come here then and you wont get upset with it. You will never get a pat on the back for playing there or promoting them.
Nice to see someone finally admit its all bots though...
