I got the same fatal error mentioned hundreds of times, so I just wanted to share what my issue was and how I fixed it. It was actually super simple.

The game worked fine for me from the beginning, but then I closed it and got all those error messages of things missing. What happens was that my save file got corrupted. Not only that, but the corruption also deleted the data in My Documents - My Games - Life is Strange - Binaries. Like those files/folders exist twice, I think this is important for any fix.

I really tried everything, but I'm really certain that the folder being empty was the main issue. Obviously nothing else worked. The crash continued with my old save file, but once removed it worked perfectly now with both folders having all the files. And I didn't see any thread I looked at mentioning that particular detail.
