Awww but the skins were included in the alpha and beta, now they're DLC?

Very odd. Just sent another build to GOG, tested on a fresh WinXP/Win7 PC. The launchers just differ on the "Deeds" button. If something gets wrong try to check if you have an antivirus issue (this happened once on the alpha tests).

Could you (and every player that have Avast) send them an alert for false positive in the Odallus launcher executable, please.

Yo guys. I have some kind of a similiar issue.
Since yesterday I cannot play Odallus anymore. It crashes everytime I start it. I get a Steam Bootstrapper error message and Steam closes afterwards. When I restart Steam it shows that I am running Odallus, although I am not actually playing. I have to restart Windows to close the game since Steam won't let me close it due to a running game.
I reinstalled Odallus and even Steam! Still not working.

I updated my avast and the Windows restart caused a bluescreen and catched me in a neverending restart-bluescreen cycle. Had to start in save mode to fix it somehow.

Anyway, now it seems I can run Odallus again but only if I disable avast.
I should've known earlier, but there were no informations in the web.

In my case it's not a false positive alert. It may be an issue with the current avast update since it also gave me the bluescreen terror of my life.

Pessoal na segunda fase de gelo do modo veterano, 4-2 , tem um glitchsinho com a câmera no ultimo carrinho antes do sub-boss. Se vc descer ao invés de entrar no carrinho a tela fica em pane e o carinha entra na parede. Quando aconteceu isso o jogo levou o boneco sozinho para cima então não eh nada sério mesmo. Mas ainda foi bem estranho.

If I didn't misunderstand, veteran mode can only be selected if you finish the game on normal difficulty first. This is my type of game, I grew up with the NES castlevanias and similar games, but I want to play the game on it's hardest difficult-level on my first play-through (I might only play it once, even if I like it. There are so many games to play these days, and not enough time, so I usually only finish games once, including the good ones).

I read in reviews, that this was a good game (in a genre I like), but too easy. Because of this, I didn't buy it.
This is not because I'm a better player than other people (I die a lot), I just find it more enjoyable when games are challenging. I like the tension of a difficult game, and the sweet feeling you get when you finally beat the boss you struggled against.

So my interest for this game returned when I heard about the veteran mode, but was dissapointed when I learned it wasn't available until you finished the game once.

Maybe other people feel the same way, so please make the veteran mode available to first time players :)

@ML You should try to beat the game with lvl 1 Sword and Armor ( it's also one of the achievements )

Really nice challenge - especially last 3 bosses

Thanks for the suggestion rusty-double-oh-seven, but I prefer to play a game without self-imposed challenges, like throwing away good loot, or not using healing potions for example. It's a good suggestion though, and might work for other people.

There is a cheat to unlock the veteran mode from start. I just don`t remember right now because Keyo did it. But I cannot contact him this weekend, but I 100% sure that there is a cheat.

When you`re in the game mode screen ( select veteran mode or normal mode) put
up up dw dw left right left right attack and veteran mode will be available

Glad you enjoying dude! Hahaha I`ve made this mode for players who already know how to play Odallus, but off course, there are some players over there that really want a BIG challenge and you are one of these. Goode luck! =D

Can the dark armor still be obtained in Veteran mode? I found two of the symbols(one in the mines one in the first or second level) and I can't find the third, but I also remember reading there was a plan to not have the Dark armor in vet mode.

There is no regular dark armor but a different version of it that drains hp too. I`ve changed the locations in the veteran. =)
