I'm having serious game-breaking issues where I can't see any form of text on the screen. When I start the game, I get music but a black screen. Hitting Escape gets me to a title logo and more music... looks like there should be a menu here? Button mashing takes me to a screen where the girl is out on a beam looking around; mashing Esc takes me back to the title. I eventually mashed the right buttons to start the game, but characters have no dialogue -- their portraits show up, but no text. Running AM...

Hey there! Been playing this game for a while and it still played fine yesterday. Steam notified me of an update just half an hour ago. I started the game after updating it to make a couple of quick runs, but noticed micro stutters/skips during runs, where it was 100% completely smooth before. These stutters/skips are rather minor, but annoying nonetheless and I don't like playing the game this way. Framerate is at 60fps@60Hz all the time, no fluctuations.
