Was anyone else playing at super speed?
just choose the throttle option in settings

How does one get to settings? I don't see an option anywhere :(

its the options tabs on the top left in windowed mode i think.

I can't alt-enter out of fullscreen without the game crashing.
I got around it by playing on my older PC instead which didn't have the issue.

try some launch commands like -nofullscreen

If it's going at super speed, I wonder if the game's framerate is tied to the screen's refresh rate. Sort of an odd design choice these days but I know some older games did this.

Changing the refresh rate might fix this?

Yeah I think you're right, since it was running at 144 FPS on my 144Hz monitor...

First time playing with 144Hz and 144Fps. Was only fixable with reducing the Hz of your Display.
What a mess that a gamespeed depends on the frames.:lunar2019madpig:

Um yikes. I'm on a laptop, can I even change my refresh rate? Do I even want to? That's brutal, I'm running into this same problem, I don't want to change my monitor's refresh rate
