If the game is unplayable I would think the bad press you have now will be nothing compared to what will happen after tomorrow.
I agree with this. I've been harsh towards the game up until now, maybe sometimes too harsh, but I genuinely do want to see it released, I wouldn't be here if I didn't. However, it's one thing giving people their say on the Steam forums, that's something which should be allowed and all comments taken on-board, but I certainly don't think that giving people their say in the Steam reviews section would do the game any favours if it's unfinished or has issues, especially given some of the ill-will seen on the forums, and opening it up to early access would do just that.
So yes, a closed beta might be a better way forward, and I'm pleased to see the developer making attempts at getting the community on-side.
If I come to you with an open face, I beg applies to me as well.
P.S.
Closed beta can generate a lot of speculation... in the open access people will be able to test their conjectures on the game.
Thanks.
But you really should be sure that you can do what you promised. People have long memory. Better for you to be honest and accept both your strong and weak points.
All I see are lock threads. Not a single post is "open" for discussion or is deleted, people banned. I don't see open discussion ever happening.
