2016 DAB WORLD TOURNAMENT

**YOU HAVE UNTIL FINAL GAME (FEB 7TH) TO SIGN UP! PRIZE LIST IS UPDATED. TELL ANYONE INTERESTED!**

It's here! After months of waiting it is finally going to happen. We are going to kick off the new year and Stormy's hard work of pushing through updates with a world tournament! Complete with prizes and location-specific matches.

LOCATION: There will be 2 different groups in play, the West group and the East group. The West group covers from Alaska, U.S.A to Iceland (So all of North America and South America). The East group will be Portugal/Ireland to Russia. We may or may not have a 3rd group for Austrailia and New Zealand depending on response to the tournament. I decided to have group matches so that different Pings would not hurt gameplay and ultimately chances to win.

SETUP/RULES: There will be 2 official matches for each group. You may only play in 1 group, however you are allowed to play in 2 tournament matches if space allows. The score will be determined by total Style at the end of the match. If you play in 2 matches, you would use your best score of the 2 as your final score. Yes, this does mean that if you play 2 matches you will increase your chance of getting a better score.

DATE: Tournament matches will be held on Sunday 17th, and Sunday the 24th. Winners will be announced on Sunday the 31st. Specific times are still being worked out, but plan on them being around 2-4pm for both groups. I may or may not host practices on the Sundays before the tournament begins.

(1 set of prizes, winners will be overall from both groups. Meaning 1st place can be USA while 2nd place can be Europe, and vice versa)

- A custom 1st place certificate
-20$ steam credit
-20$ donated in your name to Double Action project

*2ND PLACE*
-10$ steam credit
-10$ donated in your name to Double Action project

*3RD PLACE*
-5$ steam credit
-5$ donated in your name to Double Action project

What will happen, is I will change the name of the server to TOURNAMENT SERVER USA or EUROPE. I will allow all to join, and then lock the server at the allotted game time. I will allow non-tournament members to play during tournament times, however, their scores will not be counted. In order for your points to be tracked you NEED TO SIGN UP.

this tourney makes no sense considering the fact you are havin it on several servers which means you arent pitting the best against the best. more like the best vs whoever the best decided to play aka noobs. good job. shouldve just kept it to one server at one time. also, theres cheats for this game so having a sincere tournament well just isnt possible. nice try but this thing wont really be able to tell you anything that the top players dont already know. now go and spam bouncer with stallion weapon melee and think youre the best when youre just stuck in that boring ass setup lol but i, i can beat anyone with any skill group and weapons. not going to participate in this ♥♥♥♥ tho theres no point lol what a bunch of noobs

The tournament isnt just for a prize Chameleon or to win its to get DAB well known for new and old players so people can get together and enjoy a good game, you seem to be stuck on thinking your so much better than everyone but your not and of course people are gonna cheat at a mod but the job is to find honest and fair players who respect the rules.

I had it on several (2) servers so that different pings could play without heavy lag depending on where in the world you are playing from. One US, one EU. I decided to let others play with tourney entrants so that it wouldnt be 2 people dueling each other for an hour in some cases. I take into account how many are on server, as well as if any are bots when making the final ranking.

Aren't there cheats/hacks in every game? And that is why I watch each game, to make sure no hacking goes on. And the players are doing this because they just want to play other good players I'm assuming. Obviously there is no concrete way to say who is best.

I do have a rule not advising that playstyle, but all games have cheapy ways to play like quickswitch sniping and bunnyhopping. The more people we have participate and give feedback the better it can be. slamming something from outside looking in helps nobody.

Ultimately, going from no competetive community to a world tournament after a year of no updates is a speedy move. its an experiment, but also a way to get the word out. I just really like this game, I like the people i work with and Stormy getting ♥♥♥♥ done despite being a 1 man army for the most part. The tournament is for them, and a way to say thank you to those still playing. And if this goes well there will be more events for sure. So people can say what they like but I am okay with what has transpired.
