OMG. The new control scheme alone is worth re-buying this for :D

Thanks for the list ThunderPeel, is going to help a lot of people. :shay:
You should also include all the bugs of the original game that have been fixed (like the elevator one or the conversation with Domino), Steam Cards, and more unrevealed extras -I though one of them was going to be design documents-

Well you can read the original developer diaries from 1995 here:
http://www.grimfandango.net/?page=diaries

And you can see Tim Schafer's original design document here that he used to pitch the game with:
http://www.przygodoskop.pl/021/inne/gf_doc.pdf

I don't know if they'll be included or not in this new version, though.

It's worth it for this!

I've always loved the tank controls myself, but I know everyone else wants PnC :)

> old MIDI music

Have you even played the original version? Do you even know what MIDI sounds like? The original soundtrack was partially digital sounds and partially real instruments. Not MIDI format. They just wanted to re-record and master the sounds for the sake of giving them a new feel and because the original songs weren't of best sound quality.

Those comparison shots are excellent, game definitely looks improved imo. Manny looks rough in the first pic haha.

Calm down, sir. The original digital aspects of the music were likely composed in MIDI -- mixing live recordings with samples. The final format included in the game was a recording, not a MIDI file. I will re-word the original post to calm you down.

Definitely better! :)

It's definitely improved, visually, but close enough to the original to retain the charm and tone. I think many of the people complaining that it looks exactly the same are viewing the original through rose-tinted glasses.

I'll also be sticking with the tank controls.

Tank controls are pretty neat.

Pretty good, I think it's totally worth buying.

Yeah, sorry. This board's quality just makes my blood boil at this point. People with too high expectations crying over things they don't know anything about.

As an ardent fan of tank controls... I'm amazed that the new controls are even better. Wow!

People seem to miss the fact that the remastered version allows you to switch between original and remastered graphics while playing the game, with the press of a key (backspace by default for keyboard controls - it is of course configurable).

Also thank God for the returned missing dialogues. There was one particular dialogue that was really significant to the plot and you could not get it after the last official patch for the original game. Either not all or not without purposefully (re)trying clicking around in order to (randomly) get it. (I think this was also fixed for when running the game with the residualVM).
