I can't get the controller to work... there's nothing in the options to select my USB xbox controller as an input. Any ideas?

I see a lot of posts about controller problems. Here's what worked for me. #4 is key 1. When launching choose "Config", not "Play" 2. Go to Key Mapping, and Select "Joystick 1P" 3. Select the Dropdown for the control you want to set and hit the button you want to use 4. If Config Utility is not detecting your controller, go into steam controller settings, and turn off all the checked boxes for PS, XBOX, and Switch controller, then try again 5. For Arcade sticks, you'll need to toggle the stick to control...

Hi! Nice to have this title finally (not emulated) on pc. The only thing that's bugging me about this release is, that it doesn't support 1080p. It should be easy to scale the whole game to this resolution. The thing is, that my plasma tv can not handle 4:3 resolutions properly (aspect ratios are wrong). Plus I have to revert to windows stereo, instead of hdmi sound if I want to hear something (sound card doesn't support sound over hdmi while using vga mode). Maybe 1080p could be patched?...

It REALLY sucks that they took away the beloved purple laser and replaced it with this green crap. The purple laser used to lock onto targets automatically and snake around the screen, able to hit multi-part bosses in several places at once! The green one only follows your controller direction. Kinda pissed that I paid for this now. That purple laser was my favorite weapon I've ever had in a shooter....
