It's a fun concept if you like wave defense, but the days are so short that there's such a hard limit on exploration, unless you pack up everything you need for a capable mobile base and slap it all down at nightfall.
Didn't get far enough into it to enjoy a lot of the later content, but the interface is just clunky enough that I wasn't enjoying the time I had.
Also, no crafting whatsoever from inventory? For realsies?
