Fatal Error U4

As soon as I left the first caves and explored a bit of the new area the game crashed. Now whenever I start the game I get an error message as soon as I open it and I can't play anymore. I've tried reinstalling it and veryfing the files cache but with no success. Is there anything I can do to fix this? In older threads I read something about sending the save files to the devs support mail but it's been a week since I did that and I haven't received any response yet.

Try running the UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe file which is located in Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TheSolusProject\Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us. It should download some extra files. Restart your PC and try running the game again...

As vague as that, a popup that says ¨Fatal error!¨ when I launch it and loads a little bit.
I was playing AC: Odyssey a while back so I don't think it's a problem of specs but here they are:

I7-6700 -3.40GHz - 16gb RAM - GTX 1060 6GB
