New ini file options - Depth of Vield, Field of View & Bloom/Glare
Hi everyone.

We've added a few more options to the ini file.

FOV - changes FieldOfView in-game (excludes cut scenes)
EnableDOF - set this value to 0 to disable depth of field effect
EnableHDR - set this value to 0 to disable bloom/glare effect

Excellent news! Looking forward to further updates, thanks Ghostlight!

Too high of a FOV makes the game feels weird since it's 3rd person perspective. Your main character will look pretty small/ off into the distance (especially when he runs), I recommend using the default 75...

But the ability to disable DOF is great ! HDR don't really bother me much.

Interesting.

For those curious, the .ini is located in the base game folder ([Steam]\steamapps\common\Way of the Samurai 4).

Also, will we see these options incorporated into the in-game options menu in a later build?

Could we have a working alt-f4? I mean, since we're here.

I won't touch those but they defo have been requested options. Great job on that.

With DOF and HDR disabled, at a FoV of 82, Spring Harvest causes a really strange issue where a still image keeps popping up over the screen when I attack enemies. Does anyone else have that issue?
Awesome guys, thank you.

If you haven't run the game since the patch, do so now and close it to generate the options. They should be close to the top of the .ini, under [Graphics]

If the options still do not appear, add the following under [Graphics]:

FOV=75 EnableDOF=1 EnableHDR=1

and edit to your liking.

ok thank you

Setting the FOV to 90 makes the screen look a bit stretched, which is weird. Using a 16:9, 1080p monitor, and downsampling from 4K.

Reporting that alt-tabbing even with the .ini flag for DOF set to 0 reenables DOF upon area transition.

Doesn't fix the other bugs.
This and Arkham Knight locked at 30 FPS with Motion Blur and Depth of View Problems.
New gen gaming is really advanced and great.......

Welcome to the new age!!!!!!

Actually it's old gen gaming since this game is designed and developed during the era of PS3 almost 5 years ago.

It's a port, not a remaster. What you play now will be almost equivalent how the people play then.

Best is to get a remake, but it will cost millions and several years of development followed by expensive price tag. E.g A real PC version of Way of Samurai 5?

Port < remaster < remake. Oh my! $ < $$ < $$$
