Naval Action

Naval Action

NUMBERS DON'T LIE.
Developers. You need to consider adding more non PVP, RVR content to the game. The number of peak and the number of average players is dropping everyday. May 1st there were nearly 1500 players online, on May 31st there were 1000. June 30 there may be 750-500. Tweaking gun pen, ship stats, circles, timers, etc are not going to fix your numbers, you need to bring back content. IMO the quickest way to do this is trader missions and making trade itself profitable.
I know you are trying to introduce Sea Legends and your focusing a lot of attention on that. But I also know that the only reason you repurchased the rights to Naval Action was to cannibalize it's game mechanics to use in Sea Legends, a game I will never buy. You haven't finished this game so why would I trust you to finish another, more complex, game.

Its not the PVP thats the issue.. the game is all about PVP and it why the majority play. Yes bringing back all the different mission types would be great...

But the main issue is that they have added more grind to a game that already took up tons of time.. removed a ton of great features and also basically removed wind boosts making it take so much longer to move around the world..

They had a great chance to bring in new players but they killed that off with the starting out with nothing and the ammo and powder mechanics.. "Hey guys come play Naval Action where you get to spend your first 3 hours of the game doing pointless trade missions that give you tiny amounts of cash just to be able to arm your little ship for 1 fight.."

Honestly surprised anyone stuck around after that experience..

But yeah player numbers are dropping and I don't see them coming back up now and that is a real shame.

Those who stayed in the game, those are real fans of sea battles, trade and so on, even hard grinding won't stop them and buying new DLC ships for crazy money, for me, even if online continues to fall, I'll go into the game and play solo, I don't need PvP, I have my own gameplay)

Well the last update was May 22, and that was another minor tuning. So either a big feature change is coming or they aren't working very hard on the changes anymore. Who knows, since communication is poor.

Maybe to busy parting with our money and laughing at all the posts? Personally i don't care, the game is what it is and if i get to a point where i hate/bored with it i will just cease to play. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on here wont make any difference.

There was an update today, minor stuff. But the 24-hour peak is now under 900. Too little too late maybe, where are all these returning players? Honeymoon's over.
The only way is the walk away...
If you don,t like it at a party...then what do you do?

21 days since the post above going under 900 peak players in this game. Now it's under 600, including alts btw. Yes the game is dead again. Only took 2 months for these devs to kill it. Intentionally it would appear. I guess they made enough cash off the DLC that it doesn't matter now, especially since they don't reply to anyone or update anymore. They have already funded their new project I guess.

Giving new players a fully cannoned Basic Cutter with unlimited cannon shot and GP would be a start to attract and keep new players. None of my friends want to start in this game the way it currently is as they want to jump in and instantly have the option to learn to fight!

They jut don't want to grind trade missions for hours just to buy cannons and GP and shot to see if the combat is fun and interesting enough for them to keep up with this game...

You probably don't even need to do that anymore, since
67% of the players since relaunch have been lost.

Some one in another thread had it right, they are developing Sea Legends and don't give a flying #$@! what happens to this game or its players. That interview was a dog and pony show.

its not that we are "lost" i would say that it is more that we are waiting
waiting for them to do something that makes us want to play. To figure out what they want to do without us being their test dummies. At least that is what i am waiting for , that or for something better to come along which i would love to say there is but there isnt. So for now i play war thunder naval and club people with my yamato until these guys figure it out

But people have been waiting for so long, and these devs have been given so many generous chances to get their act in gear, I think people are done waiting and have lost all patience. Life is too short to keep returning to moronic decisions, arrogance and obstinate behavior, and disappointing gameplay. I have hoped for too long now, and think this will never get resolved.

When looking at players on Steam Charts it's important to remember that those are actually higher than actual. They include BOTH Carib & PvE servers combined plus there are many, many alts in that number. Things are therefore worse than you see on the charts...
