During the last year we have been hard at work to deliver you this update. We spent a lot of time gathering feedback, reworking map scripts, fixing bugs and improving the game in many aspects.
But not only that, we have also included two completely new game modes: Journey (our version of the Free Game Mode) and an Arena Mode - free for all owners of SpellForce 3, Soul Harvest and Fallen God.

This is our way to say "Thank You!" for your dedication, support and love for SpellForce 3.

• A new Skirmish map “Bitter Canyon” set in a mountainous environment. SpellForce 3: Skirmish now offers 18 maps in total!

Versus Changes

Ladder Reset

• For reforced, we are resetting the ladder progress and are excited about the new top competitors!

Adjusted Matchmaking

• Matchmaking has been adjusted to help with a better overall ranked experience and distribution of leagues!

New Map Pool

• "Bitter Canyon" is available in custom games and has been added to the ranked map pool

The SpellForce 3: Versus Edition gives you the chance to enter the battlefields of Eo for free, letting you test your RTS skills against AI opponents or even other human players.

Skirmish or 1-on-1 Multiplayer
You can choose whether you want to take on AI enemies in a Skirmish battle, or go head-to-head with other human players of SpellForce 3 in both Ranked and Unranked PVP matches. On top of it all you can also check out the single-player scenario ‘Old Haalâyash’ to get a glimpse of what the lavishly created single-player campaigns of SpellForce 3 and its stand-alone expansions have to offer.

Multiplayer Races: Orcs, Humans and Elves
You will be randomly assigned a faction, giving you a chance to try out either playing as Orcs, Humans or Elves.

With our second expansion of SpellForce 3, we will introduce a new campaign, a new faction and many more changes and improvements. Here is a quick overview of what we have in store for you in Spellforce 3: Fallen God!

A New Faction
We are bringing back one of the most unique and interesting factions: the Trolls!
In the future, we will go into more detail about these creatures, their way of living - and fighting. But with their ironbeaks, their unusual way of training units and their different economic playstyle, it's clear they are a force to be reckoned with!

All-New Campaign
During the campaign you will learn all about the Trolls, their struggle to survive against all odds, and their dream of finding their place in the world.

• 20+ hours of new campaign content
  
• New ability trees with all-new abilities, synergies and combos!
  
• Salvaging and crafting of equipment for your tribe and heroes (look out for more about this in a coming blog post).
  
• A character-shaping mechanic that will not only affect your companion's combat abilities, but have an impact on their decision-making and the story

SpellForce 3: Ranked Multiplayer

This is the conclusion Akrog, chieftain of the Moonkin trolls, comes to. He leads his clan through the continent of Urgath, struggling to survive. The player's mission is to guide the new playable faction, the trolls, through an all-new 15-hour long singleplayer campaign. In the shadow of the glorious dwarvish armies, the Dark Elves are also coming to the game.

Sending the player on a full new epic campaign with over 20 hours of gameplay, Soul Harvest has even more features – all five factions will gain new units, flying units! Also there are new game modes and some of the game’s core systems has been completely overhauled, as the sector-based resource system for example.

Following it's ingame announcement on December 17th - the first time ever, a game was announced in a game, as far as we know - Soul Harvest is due in Q2 2019 and will be available as a stand-alone expansion on PC.
