Zero escape fans when they lose their carkeys in their house

It causes me physical pain to give a Zero Escape game a negative review, but it's basically the game equivalent of watching your favourite tv show go off the rails. I'm aware that if you've played the first two there's nothing I can say to dissuade you from playing this one. Just keep your expectations low.
It does have Carlos in it though so that's pretty epic

I like the nonary games, but this one isn't good. At first I thought it was maybe because I got used to the simple 3d models from VLR and I would get used to this games quirks; like how I got used to the switch from 2d sprites, in 999, to 3d models, in vlr. I did get used to it, but I did not enjoy these quirks, like I did with VLR. Somethings I did not like were the weird model quality difference, where the characters would be high poly and items would have 5 polygons, like in one of the endings for the green team, they were fighting each other and despite being high quality models, they were holding weapons from the playstation n64 era. which brings me to another point of how varied the animations were. Some were smooth, at a steady 24 fps at least, and others were like watching slideshows. I'm sure it looked good for the original consoles it released on, but not on pc. I probably wouldn't be complaining as much as I am now if this game hadn't decided to soft, but really hard, locked me 11 hours in. I didn't even get half way through before I got stuck, couldn't go back to any previous timeline stuck. that section were sigma and Diana go back in time, if I remembered right I tried to leave, but to no avail. If I knew the game would have done this, take you to a different branch and not let you leave until you entered the right passcode, I would have used 2 of the save files in order not to soft lock myself; in my defense I was able to get away with a single save file for both 999 and VLR, so I assumed I would be able to use 1 save file in this one as well. From what I googled, if I were to enter the code it so ever wants, I would be spoiling a huge chunk of the game and also that this area where I got soft locked, also existed in the original console release. The fix that was on the original release did not work for me on pc, which makes it very soul crushing and makes me not want to ever return to this game. The story to this game, from what I got to and remember, wasn't super bad. They did some weird things I didn't really like. If you do decide to play this game, which i am sure is good cause this team makes bangers usually, please use 2 save files.
