Are mods still allowed In 2024?
I know it sounds stupid to ask something simple, but I hear conflicting information about it’s fine or not anymore and I’m scared and confused what’s true.

So can someone tell me the truth even if it’s sad answer.

People have been using mods all the time. I know at least one player.

Oh thank god! I been hearing conflicting claims that capcom was banning people for modding their games. But I guess it was either people who were making profits with mods or it was fake.

Don't worry. The mods continue to work perfectly, at least with the ~mods folder method. Some people have had problems with mods with the mm when it comes to activating the mods (no bans whatsoever).

Thanks :) I guess people claiming you get banned was either a lie made to scare players or it might have been true for a short time but not anymore

Capcom sends copyright strikes to youtubers showing mods for monster hunter series.

also capcom literally said that modding is no different from cheating and it can cause bad publicity and reputational damage (nude chun li incident during a tournament). Enigma DRM is their first attempt to cripple modding.
