deathtrap doesn't start anymore after fresh win 10 installation
Installed deathtrap on a former win 10 installation. Needed to reinstall fresh windows 10 as build 1607 wouldn't install properly. Then steam could be started and created the general registry entries. But death trap didn't start , even after a re installation. In some other threads I fould to look for a registry entry in HKCU\ software for the game, but it doesn't even exist. Any idea how to re-install properly?

I just had the same problem. This worked for me:

- Right click Deathtrap in your Steam library, and select Properties
- In the Local Files tab, click Browse Local Files
- Open the InstallUtils folder
- Execute both of these files, following through with the agreements and prompts to install:
> vcredist_x86-1
> vcredist_x64-1

Effectively, this should install both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of whichever Microsoft C++ Redistributable package that is required by this game.
