I've already finished the game and am having a friend play through it using my account. I'm not getting the option to 'fulfill a promise'. I start a new game and it just goes to the name choosing and proceeds with the game. Is this because I uninstalled and reinstalled the game....or?...

I feel like, in your first playthrough, you're just testing out the game for the first time, not trying to get a specific bird/ending. So, what you end up getting the first time around is what would most likely happen in a real life scenario (haha work with me here) of this game with yourself. I got the Azami Java Sparrow ending first!...
