Wouldn't care to play over for the past hour, sigh....
EDIT: Actually managed to fix it by following other person's advice. Start a new game and as soon as you can pause, load your old save from there. It's not a permanent solution but I doubt nothing will be done to this bug since it has persisted since the game came out.
EDIT2: I guess the advice is not so good either since in my case it doesn't work half the time. Every time I've started a new game I've had to play it through in one sitting. Saving's useless since I can't load my saves after that.
This is actually a major problem but for some reason it hasn't been fixed.
Windows 10, 64 bit, straight from factory instead of upgrading from 7/8.
Saves aren't working.
Click on 'New game', then press the Esc key and click on 'Load'. Selecting saves in this way works for me! (Although the thumbnails are all still red question marks)
(I'm on a Windows 10 laptop + received the game as a gift & played Christmas 2024)
