but the employees responsible for the inventory throw most of the empty boxes in the trash

I wish I could press a key to box up items, like you can with furniture.

That's a good idea. Another good idea would be having the stockers consolidate boxes so they're not putting boxes with 1 pack each on the storage shelf and dropping the full boxes all over the place.

I've found employees won't interact with boxes you've opened unless you store it on a warehouse shelf. I keep an empty box on my Workbench and it seems like they ignore it because I've used it to store items in it or on the shelf.

The employees do not touch your empty boxes just store them on top of your warehouse shelves.

They won't toss empty boxes that you put down after you empty them (restocking store shelves/putting items in personal display). I have 3 empty small boxes and 3 empty big boxes that I keep in my Shop B area that my employees never touch.

I would love to see some shelves for area B that would just be for our empties due to the shelves that we currently have in the back room are for boxes with product.

It's a solution that I particularly liked and am using, but an improvement would be welcome.
