Controllers are tools for comfort. Nobody likes bending over a keyboard for a prolonged time. They usually work very fine with platformers, since the controls are very basic most of the time, but when it comes to aiming properly, you can't trust a joystick over a mouse.
Necro posting but only to clarify.
Transferring obvious K/M controls to a controller is not always the solution...
This game would benefit from actual thought put into controller bindings and mechanics.
The right stick for aiming is done poorly (more so than in other games) it would have been better to use the shield button (left bumper) to lock the character in place and allow aiming with the left stick...it could even have worked in the air.
As it stands this game has very poorly implemented controller functions.
Too bad as the gameplay is actually interesting enough to be fun.
I actually found myself surviving with a sliver of life on my 1st life after coming to terms with the mechanics...except aiming...that's garbage...
Also that post about implementing friendlier feature tweaks to the gameplay had great ideas...that the developer completely ignored...lol
