mystery lake so far on this run, haven't been able to check neighboring regions yet. Could be it, but it still feels... insane, for the lowest possible settings...
I'm not having a problem handling them, headshots galore, already have a wolf coat a few days of gameplay in (which in and of itself should never happen this fast and speaks to the issue), it's jsut nuts how many there are on what are supposed to be the lowest setting, the game is too easy if all i have to do is step outside, wait for a wolf headshot and eat for the day.... literally leaving untouched bodies everywhere jsut to walk down the tracks...
Maybe behind the scenes changes messed something up last update, as this is the 3rd new game after starting over a few times where this over abundance issue seems to be in play, or i'd have said maybe my save was just borked.
appreciate your feedback,
if you insist.
this is still a much larger spawning population than i've seen on these or similar setting even just a few updates ago, but i appreciate your feedback.
I mean i am basically playing interloper settings with very few adjustments, which is why this was so surprising to me, but i get what you're saying. i just don't think in this case the comparison will be very different in generic interloper.
but worth additional testing i suppose.
I agree with you that the low setting doesn't seem to do much for reducing wolves, or any other animal for that matter. Everybody is just telling you how to avoid being killed by a wolf without acknowledging that the custom setting doesn't do what it should. You would think the lowest settings would mean you would rarely see a wolf, or have a hard time finding rabbits or deer, but they seem to always be in their standard spots no matter the setting. It is what it is I guess.
Lol, just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ read.
I'm not having an issue killing literally all of them, that isn't my problem.
Based on these setting I shouldn't be having to kill 10 a day just walking toward one end of the region or another.
In Stalker the maximum wolf spawn in a give point in Mistery Lake is five (5) - rarely, most is four (4). The wildlife spawn points are fixed, is easy to identify where is and avoid, or be prepared to fight wolves.
semantics of the distance aside, walking from the lakeside to either end of the tracks yields at least 4 dead wolves by the end of the walk, usually more, so...
But sound like you're saying if it were higher settings it would be the same locations and more than one at a time, so i get it, still seems ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane to me to have a wolfskin coat by day 2- in game, 2 by day 3-4 etc... like in no way in the past with this game were these materials ever this abundant even on medium settings, let alone low. seems broken.
but whatever i appreciate you actually giving some of the programming facts as you've observed them, only you and one or two other people have even seemed to understand what i'm trying to say in this thread, so i'm unsubbing from the convo now, thanks all.
