Abandoned?
There's been no update or news regarding what they're working on or what to expect from the next update to this early access title. Am I to believe the game is abandoned by the developers? They don't even seem to mention it anywhere!

Not sure if it's abandoned but it is certainly languishing in obscurity. From looking at devs' Twitter feed, they seem to really like their phone games though...same with their Facebook pages - all about their phone games. Servo's FB page last post: Sept 2015. Tells you all you need to know. I will avoid anything they make for PC in the future for sure.

Aye, that's why I was wondering. This game is dead. Another early access devs didn't even bothered to finish. This kind of behaviourshould be downright illegal!

Why would Stardock let BonusXP can the game without telling anyone? Consider that. BXP wouldn't be running off with early access money and leaving valve holding the bag, they'd be breaking contract with Stardock. Why would you be worried about the game being released at all? There are far bigger problems to worry about, like how there is no news, updates have slowed down, and the hype train is not leaving the station.

They just launched a phone game, first phone game they've done in years, of course their socmed accounts are going to be pimping it. This doesn't excuse the lack of news, but why would it be weird that their socmed pages are decked wall to wall with The Incorruptibles?

Yeah it's confirmed: The devs abandoned SERVO. When I contacted them about their mobile game I got instant reply (3-4 hours). But when I contacted them about the progress in servo I got nothing. Visiting the SERVO forums on the official page only has news regarding online maintenance for matchmaking and it seems like an automated bot. This sucks because the game is looking pretty sweet but I guess it wwasn't worth it for them.

That doesn't confirm anything. I get the exact same thing from them (except usually when Dave and I tweet at eachother it is about RTS in general and not TIC). The thing is, this is how they've been for *looks at watch* half a freakin' year now. They've released patches since they started not talking.

I personally think it is unacceptable that they give you the impression that this is canceled regardless of if it actually is or not. I have no idea what is going through their heads, it is my opinion that they messed up the end of this beta. They were not prepared to engage with steam early access players all the way to launch, which is what is expected on this platform. I think they might have taken the low traffic to mean no one cared that much about beta. But stuff like this keeps coming up. FWIW I tweeted a link to this thread when you posted it to Dave, Brad Wardell and the BXP company twitter account. Brad probably didn't even see it, but I'm sure Dave and Graham saw it, disappointed neither took the minute or so that'd be required to say hi, game's not cancelled, sorry about the slow updates, cya and then disappear again. Come on, y'all.

Well my post still stands, no reply about SERVO. Also this game is NOT finished. about 75% of what's promised is missing and many elements are found incomplete such as the ingame item store. Game needs A LOT more work put into it. Seriously and their lack of response makes me sad I bought their game because honestly I really wanted a new RTS like this and by what I saw on one of their streams way back I was like ♥♥♥♥ YEAH. But now, I regret it completely. And I'm not one to refund or anything.

I can dig that.

It's not abandoned but very slow development, to judge by recent patches.

I think they will finish it because they have a contracct with Stardock but by the time they do multiplayer will be dead and everyone will have moved on to something else. Since we can't return it to Steam I think Stardock should step up to the plate and do something. Maybe give owners of this game a $20 credit towards buying one their other games. But yeah even if the developers do finish the game they have effectively killed any chance of it suceeding by their lack of involvement.

This is yet another prime example of why I no longer support early access games, because so far at least 90%+ of the ones I have backed in the past, never came to pass.

In all honesty, we need some form of "dev ban list" that is easily accessible by the gaming community for this very specific reason.

Yeah that's sadly true :(

Lets not get overkill here man xDD I rarely support Early Access, but I don't like to put every worm in the same can. But yeah, a dev blacklist would be nice to have!

multiplayer was dead when we were getting a patch every 2 weeks, play with devs nights (which almost always turned into Draco Vs Graham Night) , a dev stream and new dev posts here and their forums daily. I explained this in another thread but the #1 reason everyone doesnt play is the game isn't launched and so it is pointless to get gosu and encrust your mechs in purps. People barely play singleplayer atm too, the most activity was launch of SEA and one sale this was included in.

It is pretty overkill for every sitch IMO. We can already leave negative reviews and tell people we know to wide berth a game (speaking of reviews I should probably edit my old one for this to say updates are slow now and they don't do play with devs nights anymore)

We are so screwed. I received a e-mail today from Stardock stating that thier Ashes of the Singularity game is going to exit early access at the end of this month. I hit a link thinking it was to read more on this story and it took me the the official Stardock forums (which cover their games, other programs, etc...) Everyone of their recent or upcoming games, except Servo, had its own subforum. This to me this means that Stardock has written off this game. They just have not done so officially.

Servo has subforums on stardock forums, no one posts in it so we use this one instead. It is here http://forums.servogame.com/
