NOT BEING ABLE TO PICK MY GENDER HAS MADE THIS GAME NOT FUN, I PREFER FEMALE CHARACTERS

So, I spent most of my first play through in the shaman outfit. At one point I joined the Green Legion (In a glorious and bloody victory, I might add) and that required me to put on their heavy plate uniform. After victory was achieved, it gave me the option to "change into my old gear".... but it gave me the choice of light skirmisher armor? and the other option was to stay in the plate gear. Is there a menu somewhere where I can switch back to my shaman outfit? really want to continue the game, but it do...
