Performance
Q: The game has bad performance, how do I fix it?
A: Basic
  • As always: Please use the latest graphics drivers.
    Nvidia[www.nvidia.com]
    AMD[support.amd.com]
    Intel[downloadcenter.intel.com]
  • Reduce resolution from the in-game menu: Graphics -> Resolution.
  • Close all other applications.
A: Advanced
  • In Windows Power Options, please select HIGH PERFORMANCE and confirm that “CPU minimum performance” is set to 100% under advanced settings.
  • If you use multiple monitors, make sure that you play the game on your main display. This is especially important if you have a high-refresh rate monitor (e.g. 120Hz, 144Hz etc). The main display is set in the Windows Screen Resolution dialog.
  • AMD R9-300 and newer: in Radeon Settings -> Gaming -> Global Settings, set “Power Efficiency” to “Off”.
  • Nvidia (all cards): in the Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Global Settings, set Power management Mode to “Prefer maximum performance”. For more information, see this page[nvidia.custhelp.com].

Crashes
Q: The game crashes/freezes. Help!?
A: Please write us at support@playdead.com and include a DxDiag[www.faqforge.com] and we will take a look.

Q: The game won't launch but it's showing up in my Task Manager.
A: This is most likely because your CPU doesn't meet the minimum system requirements and is not able to run the game.
However if you're certain that your machine meets the game's system requirements, try the following:
  • Close Steam
  • Go to Task Manager and scroll down to the Background Processes section
  • Find all Steam tasks and right-click and select 'End task' on all of them
  • Go to the folder where Steam is installed and run steam.exe as an administrator

Controls
Q: I do not get input from my Steam Controller.
A: Press Steam button, select Controller Configuration, Browse Configs, make sure you have imported the recommended “Official Configuration for INSIDE” layout.

Q:I do not get input when using Steam Link with a wired USB controller (XBox 360 controller, Dual Shock 4 controller, etc).
A: We currently only support using a Steam Controller on the Steam Link streaming box. We are looking into this and will hopefully find a workaround to support other controllers.

Graphics

Q: The game crashes or looks weird on startup if I enable Nvidia SLI or AMD Crossfire.
A: INSIDE does not currently support dual GPU setups. Please disable multi-GPU before launching the game. For more information, please see this page[www.gog.com].

Q: The game has vsync-tears
A: Make sure vsync is not disabled in your graphics driver.

Q: Does FreeSync / GSync work?
A: INSIDE uses borderless fullscreen, which does not work[community.amd.com] with AMD FreeSync. However, Nvidia’s GSync is supported[www.geforce.com].

Does the game support DS4 natively?
No 21:9 support? Game is pillarboxed when I select 3440x1440 as my resolution.

Same problem, screenshots not visible in activity feed and game doesn't appear in my recently played games in profile.

Add something about what to do if some ♥♥♥♥ ruined the whole game in his posts title?
I purchased the game and the game doesn't seem to work at all. Also experiencing a similar issue with the library/profile bug. I've contacted both support channels as well as attempted to add the Dev who made this thread to Steam but rather than accepting my friend request, they chose to block me (not ignore).

I submitted a refund request for the game due to the lack of professionalism and support for this issue. I would advise anyone else to do the same.

And for anyone who may be wondering...

Specs:
CPU: 5960x @ 4.9GHz
GFX: EVGA 980 Ti Kingpin
RAM: G.Skill 3200MHz 64GB

I also cannot see achievements after completing the game.
Denuvo = not buying. Too bad, I quite enjoyed Limbo. Well, more money for We Happy Few. No Denuvo and DRM free to boot!
