Quite a shallow critique.
The remake of RE2 makes interaction with the scenery much better, it shows an icon on the screen when the player is close to something interactable. After interaction, it's marked on the map what the player interacted with. The RE2 remake doesn't show useless text.
In the remake of RE2 you feel in control of the character, you can (and should) aim at the zombies' heads, the controls allow for precise aiming. In this outdated remake, you aim straight, or up, or down...
I'm only giving these few examples because I didn't have the patience to continue with the game, it's disappointing compared to the remake of RE2. After discovering that the game doesn't even support my screen resolution (Quad HD), I went to the community forum and found out that a more modern remake is being developed. I'll wait for it.
Well then you don't understand the game. Your only point that's valid is the door loading but that's easy to fix by using the mod that removes that. This a puzzle game through and through. That's the whole point in having to remember what keys go to what doors. It means you have to handle limited inventory space. It means you have to read notes and explore and have a plan. You have to think. No hand holding. What you describe as "Better" is nothing more than hand holding.
I appreciate you explaining your reasons though.
Classics really aren't for everyone.
It's a remastered 2002's game.
You are comparing it to a game on a new engine and released in 2019. Totally illogical.
