GOG coming through in a way that makes sense.
GOG coming through really hard and really strong with what the fans clamor for.

STEAM did indeed fumble that football and squandered that opportunity.

IHHT'S OHHVER!

STEAM can't do it because of their three levels of DRM.

That's fake news.
GOG is making these ports, it was their own initiative they proposed to the IP owners. Capcom invested literally 0$ in these re-releases or in marketing them, so whatever percentage they get from the sales is basically free money for them.

Steam can't do anything about it. It's a contractual agreement between the people who own the franchise and the people who are making the ports and naturally want them in their own platform.

Yeah, GOG did the same with Tomb Raider and they are literally printing their own money with these two classics.

GOG will let these ride for a few months then make the enhanced Game Cube editions available.

lol, one of my favorite Lucy skits. I love the very end when she's plastered. Skip to about 4 mins 12 seconds. >.<

Nah, I've never watched Will and Grace--I mean I saw an episode here and there when I was a little kid but it's not a show I've watched before. I'll look up that scene on youtube tonight.

Eh Steam doesn't really care. It makes sense for GOG to do something like this as that's their whole thing is being a game preservation store. I'm just sad to realize Code Veronica or Outbreak did not have PC versions so we probably wont ever see them on GOG.

Evidently STEAM don't care or they would have been all over it when the Game Cube HD Remaster became the fastest selling Resident Evil title ever.

CV is a difficult one for GOG because the coding is part owned by SEGA so there is a mountain of legal red tape with that one.

Code Veronica can be easily emulated nowadays it even runs on the raspberry pi 4, as for CVX that would be easy to port over to PC but i think there are some legal issues with sega at play. What I would like to see is Breath of Fire 3-4 on the PC especially uncut 4. For people from europe they probably know it was shoddily ported to the pc by sourcenext as for the uncut japanese ps1 game it was never fan translated, so that one would be great.
