Cheats/mods
There are seriously no cheats or mods for infinite ammo or special guns? Really?

Yes, im aware of needing to beat the game to unlock such things. I mean real actual cheats, not unlockable features.

People never made them due to being in-game already.

I hate the having to beat a game completely to unlock infinite ammo thing. Oh well.

It’s supposed to be a reward for doing well, not a mode for just anyone to use. There are mods though. Some of them are pretty good.

I know you do not want to hear that, but:
Try to unlock it. It can be very satisfying if you have earned something because you have improved your skills and learned something about a game.

Actually, you cant unlock infinty ammo for your weapons. You can unlock two guns, a pistol and rocket launcher which both come with infinty ammo.
But if you want to go wild with shotgun or magnum etc. this might be your thing:

I mean i've gotten it before, RE1 is my favorite game since i was a kid. I just want to run around casually for the nostalgia. I don't really play games much anymore so i don't feel like playing for hours to beat the game. I just wanted to quickly unlock inifinite ammo and run around for fun. I'll probably beat it for real in a few months leading up to the RE2 remake.

I found the REHDUltimateTrainer relatively fast. You can set EVERYTHING in it.

Working with current version on Steam.

Not even a single crash under 15 hours or so, sometimes I only use it for door skip, but I tried other things also. Doing Real Survivor atm and I think ink ribbons are quite low in the game and since I don't want to lose 40 minutes of progress, I set infinite save sometimes, etc...I know it makes the game easier, but not funny when you lose such progress. The game itself is pretty good, but played through 4 times without cheating so I guess it's not a big deal. :-)
