Hello everyone, dev here! I'm very glad to announce that the first major content update for Elite Exorcist Miko, the Makai Stage update, is finally available for you to play! As I previously mentioned, I originally intended to release this update back in April, but personal circumstances made it difficult to finish by that time. I'm happy to say that things are back on track, so hopefully development should go more smoothly going forward! But for now, check out this trailer for a preview of what's included in this update!

You can check out the patch notes for a detailed list of all changes, but I'll go over the major points here!

Makai Stage, or Stage 3B, brings with it several new enemy types as well 4 new Bosses — Choco, Towa, Ayame and Shion! This stage is on par with the Medieval Stage in difficulty, so be sure to prepare yourself with Offerings and equipment before visiting the demon realm!

14 new equipment items have been added to spice up your builds! From unorthodox Talisman Attacks (or even none at all) to powerful new Scrolls, I hope you'll enjoy the new possibilities these items have to offer!

You can now equip a second Talisman after unlocking the newly added slot in Offerings! This Talisman will take effect when using Slow, giving you more flexibility in synergizing equipment and adapting to different situations! You can still use a single Talisman as before if you prefer.

In addition to new submenus for Display Settings and Assist Options, many new settings have been added to allow you to further customize your experience. Don't like all those rings and arrows around you? Feel free to turn them off completely!

Crown hunters rejoice! Like with Amelia's Pocket Watch, you can now use Holo Essence to skip directly to a marked boss's stage!

The effect of this craftable Key Item has been revamped! Equipping this item will now randomize your starting equipment and disable rerolls, in exchange for 3 additional Amezon Deliveries! This aims to make the item a more appealing option for players looking for a bit more unpredictability in their runs.

Burn and Poison now deal more damage and are easier to inflict on a Boss repeatedly, while status effect buildup in general now decays slower.

Several Bosses have received changes to make them a bit easier to deal with, while a few other Bosses have received buffs instead! More details in the patch notes!


This update ended up being a lot bigger than expected, but I hope you'll enjoy the changes and additions! If you've got any feedback or suggestions, feel free to let me know in the discussions or through a review!

So what's next? In addition to possible bug fix or balance patches, development will be focusing on the next Extra Stage! I think it will be more interesting to keep the content for this one a surprise, but hopefully you won't have to wait too long. After that, work will begin on Stage 3C, completing the third stage tier! Hoping to share more info soon!
