Would make the game more popular showing up in more Steam game filters

I set the game to beta and I have 8 Xbox controllers, but the game only recognizes 4 of the controllers. Is there any way to get this to work with all 8?

My friends and I have enjoyed this game the few times we played it, and I do know what I am going to recommend has a small audience that would actually appreciate this, but having up to 8 controllers would be awesome. I think the team game modes would be better with more players. I know the game is old at this point, but its worth a shot of asking, right?...

I found this game tonight and IMMEDIATELY bought it because of the memories playing it with my brothers on the 360. I will mostly be playing local co-op but I was also wondering what the difference was between the 2 different betas for online play? Is one preferable for playing with my friends over steam? Sorry if this has already been asked, I haven't seen any threads about it....
