i've done it 3 times now and after i open the fireplace i have absolutely no idea what to do next. i tried to lure them in but didn't work

Hi, In the guest room, i got the candlestick and light a few candles, then i droped it, save game closed to the piano and exit game. When i returned, grab option that it is shown near an object is not shown in candlestick so im not be able to continue. Exit and enter the game several times but issue still remaining. so i lit all the candles got the note but i seem to be stuck the door did not open and i cant seem to do anything else aside from boring the ghost by playing the piano(also cant pick up the candle light anymore

After the buttons with the melody, I lit all the lamps in all three rooms and took the candlestick. Then I threw it at the locked door, ran around and did some other things, and now the candlestick is gone. I can't find it anywhere to light the two large candlesticks by the door....
