Huh? I fired up season 2 and opened the save file I made at the end of season 1 about an hour earlier. What did you do?
Got a message that said they were created on a different device, which they were not, loaded it anyway... All I got was text but with a black screen, and an error message at the top of the screen..
THAT is exactly what I did... I also verified files on BOTH seasons... THIS is what I get when I load the save that says "End of season one on the screen...

Exactly... It does it even with an end game save that I created yesterday, and it still says it was created on a different device... Crazy...
I'm sorry that it's happening to you also, but at least it shows the dev that it is not just a "me" problem, and that others are having the same issue...
Damn, you too?... If it's not rectified soon I'm getting a refund...
Fix "Save was created on another device" error:
1. Go to C:\Users\(yourname)\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\tokens\security_keys.txt.
2. Make a backup of the file and save it in another folder.
3. Open security_keys.txt. Keep only the "signing-key" in the file; delete everything else. Save the file.
4. You can now open your modified save in the game. From there, create a new save.
5. Now, replace the modified security_keys.txt file with the original backup.
6. Use the new save you created based on your modified one.
Important: Otherwise, some game settings and gallery items cannot be saved. Backing up your security_keys.txt file is crucial.
Well yes, doing that DID remove that message popup. However, that was all it did... There is still no image, and the very short exchange of dialogue makes little sense from where Season 1 ended, as it mentions Beatrix and the redhead girl.
Then, after the short exchange of about 7 or 8? screens of text, I am returned back to the main menu. So I STILL cannot continue from where Season 1 left off.
If I cannot continue on then there is no point me owning this and I will be getting a refund. So, as I said in my opening statement... FIX IT...
signing-key
verifying-key
(On two separate lines, with no other content in the file.)
Maybe I forgot a detail in step 3: after saving the file, right-click on it, go to Properties, and mark it as 'Read-only.' Could you try if that solves the problem? I apologize for the inconvenience.
FIX IT, FIX IT!! Ooo, calm your tits dude, its just a game. There are so many others you can jack off to, some are even free.
Well this is the contents of my "security_keys.txt" file;

All one line, I see no "verifying-key...
