Can not start my own game
I tried to start my own game and it says I can't got o an island unless I am in control of my own ship.

I went onto my friends island and took my ship apart and it still says I have to be in control of my ship when I tried to start my own Island.

So can you please tell me how to fix this so I can start my own island?

You first need to claim your ship by looking at the helm, pressing Q to open the radial menu, and then choosing the claim ownership option. Only claimed ships can be used to travel between maps.
