"There was a problem authenticating the ownership of this product" Error
If you launch a Ubisoft game through Steam while logged into the wrong Ubisoft account, you may receive "There was a problem authenticating the ownership of this product" error message.

This error can be caused by the following factors:

• When a game or additional content purchased through Steam is linked to a different Ubisoft account and you are logged into a Ubisoft Connect with the wrong account.
• If you are launching the game from the correct Ubisoft Account, but the additional content (DLC) was redeemed on another Ubisoft Account.
• If you are trying to access the game through Steam Family Share, this game may not be compatible.

In order to troubleshoot this, here are a few steps you can try:

1. Delete cache files in Steam[ubi.li] and Ubisoft Connect[ubi.li]

2. Perform a full reinstall of Ubisoft Connect[ubi.li]
