What are the input and output options besides exporting wav? Can midi sequences be brought in or out, or played on a controller? Bonus question- Is this built with Pico-8 or a different game development engine?

I am having an issue where the knobs on various components don't seem very responsive - it's actually kind of tricky to start manipulating them (I am clicking on the knob and then moving the mouse around - sometimes it seems like it's just not accepting the input at all) and once I am manipulating them it's tricky to get them set where I want (they often seem to jump two or three ''clicks'' at a time. Hi! I am using macOS 14.5 and even though I have sound turned on in the settings, there seems to be no way to generate or play sound with my synths. Does anyone has ideas for trouble-shooting? :)
