I know Gloves can slow down investigations, but always the worst time Nassara shows up his idea. 150000$ is bit lot, of course you can loan money to.
I still enjoy the game, but someone could share some quick rundown how to beat the campaign.
Day operation : Always do loud heists first. Turf wars and loud heists increase HEAT, you want to do the heist itself first as then you'll only be experiencing badge level 1-2, maybe 3 if you get unlucky with the convoy spawn rate. Afterwards do turf wars or stealth missions as needed, getting respect is more important early but eventually you cap out or don't need it as much, so turf wars are better to do early game while prioritizing missions first is better late.
Investigation : Absolutely try to avoid doing stuff like killing civis or other weird stuff, that type of activity buffs the investigation timer. Try to keep money on the side for the eventual Nasara goal of bribing the cops, if I remember correctly you can bribe the cops twice with the 2nd one also requiring a mission to be done, after that you're on a hard time limit and it's time to monitor how much progress is done per day so you know how long you have and then try to win the game. Remember a boss perk exists to slow down the investigation.
Turf Capturing : Early game not making enemies might be to your benefit, only one who's usually unfriendly to you is Hielo, the others are neutral and don't attack straight up. Try to get territory early so you can get the goal to up your army tier, this REP also gives missions higher rewards. Later on if you're prioritizing capture, try to cut the enemy off from single territories, if you cut a SINGLE territory off from the rest by capturing it's last connector, it often auto-captures itself to your side. This is stupid useful for acquiring mass amounts of territory fast if you plan it right. A important thing to note is that turf will sometimes have "new soldiers" as a reward, this directly gives you active crew to take more turfs with. If you manage to proc this reward enough times you can end up with another turf to take over that day, you can also combo it with a buy for more soldiers and inch out another turf that way too.
Turf Wars : Get used to playing these with all the given weapons, remember you can swap weapons by grabbing them off the ground and remember explosives are often everywhere including in the vehicles if you shoot them enough. Once you get your gameplay down you can use way less guys on turf wars as 1 player-controlled goon can easily cut down mass swathes of the enemy.
Mission Assessment : Baker should always be going on the 2 highest priced missions you can see on the day, make sure to account for Big Heists. Baker should also always have at least 1 person with him unless the mission is that easy and/or you're that confident. Beware bank heists, they have a RARE chance to start loud, always bring at least 2 people, more if you're high heat. Big Heists should always have multiple people even if planning stealth, you never know what can go wrong.
Team Setup : Obviously if its a loud heist you prep for loud. For stealth you want the main stealth runner to be a lighter build like Runaway or a common goon with the THIEF perk. If you can get someone who's a light / thief build with a tier 3 speed perk, you found a winner. Give that stealther a brick and a silenced pistol and you pretty much should be able to win every stealth encounter, any teammates incase it goes wrong should be adjusted for combat. Also do not be afraid to grab gear from 1 person to give to another, Cracker's silenced pistol is better given to stealthier characters for instance and I personally always grab Tuna's shotgun and give it to Baker.
In-Mission Strats :
For stealth you want to make sure your spawn point isn't trespassing / restricted, if it is and your bots look out of position then possess them and move them farther back. Some areas have iffy spawn locations for the bots to move to and they can still be in sight of the enemy. After that just pick your designated stealther and go brick throwing.
For loud remember that the bots don't really tend to use their gadgets, this means you effectively have up to 4 gadgets you can use at any time you wish. When it comes to Berserk make sure if you notice any of the bots about to be in a big fight that you possess them and make them take it then return to your preferred character, if its throwables though then use those as needed.
And finally : If you're playing to win, you can get the entire campaign done with basically no boss upgrades before potentially even the 9 day mark, just have to play smart and maybe get a bit lucky.
you can kill a detective by starting any loud heist on 2 heat badges
since if a heist is started on 2 heat badges and goes loud the detective will show up eventually
also the import export heist sets the investigation progress to 0% if you give the sheriff the loot
also nasara will always provide you with a goal to lower the investigation progress when the investigation goes above 60%, if you always succeed with that goal i think you may be able to stall it forever, but I ve never really seen a point to continue after like day 17 or something because no new big heists show up and all smaller heists become a bit annoying (its mostly just the compound and the truck convoy jobs at that point, which gets a bit stale^^)
I typically end the campaign early by capturing the last turf long before the investigation progress becomes a problem
You are suppose to lose a few amount of times in your runs before you get better starting gear. You have to learn how to spread your soldiers. usually me for example, I dont try taking empty plots first, I usually attack other gangs right away with ATMOST moderate risk.
I leave the empty plots for if I have any to spare EOD and I make sure I use my soldiers the best possible way to take over the land, including if I need them for intel. I learned for defenses, you really dont need a lot of soldiers - as the MG you have is REALLY good and you can clear most of the henchman yourself (even more easily if you have a map with highground)
and while we are on defense, there have been moments where there is just one more area to take, but one of my areas is being taken by that same gang, if you send your troops to take over the last area rather then defend, that place will no longer be contested if you win the gang war and wipe the gang out. so just be sure to take note of - "Can I wipe this gang out right now? or do I have to Def this plot to avoid losing ground"
just remember to keep note, you HAVE TO LOSE your first few runs, hell maybe your first 10 runs. just remember to try to take advantage of your money to buy assets, and allocate your boss points for more gang upgrades and such.
This. Just this.
Game is perfectly doable from lvl1 even in extreme. You just need to know how to use your army. More turfs = more money from missions and more money per day.
Send minimum number of soldiers to attack as much as you can. Always buy new soldiers, attack several time per day. Always start with weakers turfs (usually Hielo). If you can capture turf that grant new soldiers as rewards, thoses can be used during the same day to attack more turfs. Try to focus on one faction at the time so you don't get ganked on. Always send only touchdown to defenses ( except for lvl3 attacks, that can be risky because you can be surouded easily depending on the map ). Always upgrade your army ASAP. Always try to cut off ennemy territories from their main area, so you can double capture. If you can make sure no faction has direct access to empty territory, do it so they can't grab the free turfs next day.
As for the when to do turf wars, that's up to you. I do them at the end of the day, but that means double captain to fight on each turfs, so do them first if you aren't confident about fighting them. Altough your others missions will get harder (heat)
You have about 10 days to finish a campain at first. When investigation gets above 50%, you'll get an oportunity to corrupt cops, so keep a few hundred thousands bucks on hand after day 5. That will push back investigation by 50%, so you'll have an extra five day. That will proc at least once per playthrough, and can proc twice, so you have 15-20 days to finish the campain without glove's Perk. this is way enough.
This is really the only knowledge needed besides how to stay alive as Baker. Oh yeah, and don't forget to buy hideout assets to grab some permanent perks, of course.
play turf war with medium to high risk and you can clear more areas in a day, low risk is just overkill on all but the last carnali and maybe khan turf.
focus on 1 gang at a time so you don't have to defend vs 3 or 4 enemies at a time, also,
if an enemy is attacking you and you can cut the connection by attacking the zone he attacks from, you don't have to defend and you get to take a zone instead of defending.
oh and fight smarter, not harder. look for zones that can be cut off by attacking the zone right next to it, 2 zones for 1 attack is not a bad deal.
sometimes you can even take 3 zones with 1 attack.
I mean it's really not too far off from payday in many ways, but this one just requires a bit more thinking since your managing an army aswell with much more emphasis on stealth over everything else.
Relax, I died 5 times, got 25 hours in them game AND still not beat the campaign. :D Still have fun with it. You must learn your way to play and win, that's all. Make sure do heaists silently, without alerting the police! Make sure have enough money when bribing pop-ups.
I recommend play the Urban Legends section! Youknow th emissions better also Silenc eis Golden teach you get heists stealth. Not that hard, just take your time!
