Ranged units do not attempt to move from their starting positions during boarding actions and will shoot and kill one another.
What I mean to say is :
Your town entities are not triggering your siege scene on the combat encounter start in my save. If this is something you haven't seen I can ship a save file.
Also, this is 'nox' - from bandit kiing mod.
What's the runtime error?
I would verify files if it happens after you start a new game - that really sounds like the encounter is corrupt.
There's some confusion in the game about what timber and lumber are.
Timber are trees that are cut down.
Lumber is cut down trees cut into planks.
The game confuses the terms and misuses them.
First the 'rents' income from towns appears to be trivial and insignificant. M&B had this problem too where the end-game economy simply made no sense.
If I own a city, and put all the developments in it and it is 'wealthy' - I can expect to see about 18k income a week, which is really just a waste of time to even consider. That doesn't even cover the costs much less pay for growth.
Also, manufacturing in cities doesn't work very well without some way to automate selling finished goods and production chains. You should look into having the player be able to build something which will create convoys to move goods within the network of player cities.
Otherwise, every city has to have all production self contained which doesn't really work well either.
