so what worked for me is adding ffxiiimg (not the launcher) to the exemption list for DEP.

Step-by-step for windows users (im on w11)

1. win+R, then type "sysdm.cpl" without "" then press enter/click ok

2. click advanced

3. click settings under performance

4. go to data execution prevention

(it should be on by default)

5. click add, then find ffxiiimg, select it and click ok/add.

i have tried this fix and its not working for me am i potentally doing something wrong or am i just dumb. i have read that there is a fix online you can download but i dont know if that works. i am on windows 10 i dont know if that makes a difference but i am reading that it might.

edit: just tried the online fix still nada what on earth am i doing wrong and why on earth is steam selling something that wont run as is its infuriating

Try the 4GB patcher, that may work. I know it makes 13-2 be able to be launched.
