The Expansion DLCs worth it?
I saw Witcher 3 being super cheap and i had just enough leftover wallet funds for the base game so i decided eh why not and bought W3.

So far i am really enjoying the game.
I am contemplating whenever or not get the full package.

Time to sink a lot of hours into this game.

This was the absolutely correct choice.

Seriously get blood and wine
Blood and Wine is amazing, but why not get both? It's all a good time.
Hearts of Stone is definitely the best part of the entire game, so you should definitely get everything.
Are the expansions implemented into the main game or are they their own separate thing?
wym? like a separate game? if i understand you correctly implemented game will just have new areas & quest line

Just making sure cause some devs idea of an "Expansion" is having said expansion as a separate campaign/story accessible from main menu where you start fresh.

Hearts and Stone is implemented into the main game. Its quests are located in Velen and Novigrad. The quests are shown in blue to differentiate from the main quests (yellow). They're also higher-leveled than even the final quest. One thing that may happen is that you're discovering the "?" around the map and end up running into the enemies of the DLC by mistake. If you see a bunch of knights in red armor, you better run away, they're level 30+.
Blood and Wine features a completely new area (Toussaint), and you're supposed to start it after finishing the game once (there's a reference to the ending right at the start). However, you can start it as soon as you save Dandelion during the story.

I'd say they are both main game. Hearts of Stone transpires in the vicinity of Novigrad and Oxenfurt while Blood and Wine is in a different location called Toussaint, which is no different than Skellige (meaning it's not on the same map). Both can be accessed any time after triggering certain events, but the narrative is Main Game > Hearts of Stone > Blood and Wine

There is a quest in Blood and Wine that cannot be appreciated to the fullest without having completed Hearts of Stone.

In this case you will just get a notice on a notice board to start the expansions. Personally I think Blood and Wine is better than the base game but although I really like Heart of Stone I prefer the base game over it. They are both worth getting and either one will add hours of play time.

I got the game on GOG and now, to support the devs I decided to also get it on steam.
My first and only playthrough with both dlc took me like 200h. Its insane. Both dlc are amazing, but the setting of heart of stone is just another level. I loved every hour of it.

Getting both is no misstake, each one is longer, deeper and better than your typical AAA-Titel.

Enjoyed both DLCs. You can do Heart of Stone whilst doing the main story line at least I did.

Both DLCs are 100% worth it
