Knockout City - Private Server Edition

Knockout City - Private Server Edition

It launched! But still trying to connect to official servers?
Super excited the private server version got a Steam launch! However, I tried to launch this morning and it seems to still be attempting to connect to the official servers. Do I need to do anything special to start playing private matches?

hi, I don't even know how to run it, it doesn't work for me either......
It has instructions in a "readme" (on my machine its located in D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Knockout City - Private Server Edition). It explains that we have to use -commands on the exe files, so we should probably wait for someone with more expertise to give indepth instructions for getting connected. I was able to get it up after running the server and then the game, but I wasn't sure if I was just connected locally or with other online users since I couldn't find any games. I also tested using some -commands in the exe files without getting errors but still not finding any other players. I assume someone will eventually host servers and provide instructions at some point so that players can have centralized location(s) to connect to especially since the readme mentions changing servers will cause your settings to revert and having to re-tweak settings.

You might wanna checkout the unofficial launcher. We host publicly available servers for the private edition: https://kocity.xyz/

Search "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Knockout City - Private Server Edition\KnockoutCityServer" and run the file KnockoutCityServer, a cmd window will open (do not close it). Now run the game and that's all c:

But that will only make you connect to your own game and not play with anyone.
As someone stated, you need to use some arguments to connect to an IP address that has a server hosted.
Someone already linked an unofficial launcher in the thread and that's what you have to use at the moment.
I wish though that we could just host a third party master server so it would work seamlessly. I really don't know why that hasn't been done (hardcoded into the game perhaps?). It could be fixed with an altered game exe anyway.
