* A hard crash when playing in French has been fixed.
* Three hard crashes when playing in (Simplified & Traditional) Chinese have been fixed.
* Lateral movement in Gallery has been fixed.
* Off screen collectible icon in EP03 has been re-positioned to be on screen now.

Features:
* The save screen page limit has been removed based on community feedback.

Optimization:
* Unused old data has been removed from the game, reducing the total game size.

Known Issues:
* Some animations in special scenes are not running. It will be fixed in a future update.

* UnboundLocalError: local variable 'keyboard_mode' referenced before assignment
* Exception: Say has image attributes ('o',), but there's no image tag associated with the speaking character.

If you experienced any of these two errors, please try again.

For a subset of players who were not able to unlock the Finger-Lickin' achievement, please replay the scene from the gallery menu.

I'm excited to announce that the official version of Bright Lord is now available and ready for you to play! We put a lot of hard work into getting it to this point, and we truly hope you’ll enjoy it and that it meets your expectations.

The game is still in Early Access, but we’ll be releasing updates every 1-2 months, with the full version planned for release in the second half of next year.

For now, I’ll keep it brief and just invite you to check out the game! After you play, please leave your feedback here and write a review—even if there are things you didn’t like. This will help us improve and refine the game.

Synopsis

Bright Lord is a linear RenPy visual novel.

Story

You've taken some time off from school to help your family move. Your father died and they lost the company they had built. Shortly after you help your family moved in you are possessed by an ancient entity that requires either lust or pain to gain strength, and will punish you, and those around you, if you disobey.

Gameplay

The game starts off by allowing you to name the main character, John by default. Next you are able to set the name you call her and relationship between you and the woman married to your father. Then you set your relationship to the slightly older woman in the house. Next up is your relationship to the younger female character. Nice to have some background on your relationship to them, so that you have some idea of how to set up the relationships.

Shortly after you start you will see a mask icon. Clicking on it will take you to the DLC page for the game, if you don't already have it. If you already have the DLC installed you will be able to view additional images, with less clothing. In the case of the first instance there are five images in the DLC, all for the same "scene" just less clothes and different angles. If you've played the Lust Theory series, it is very similar, just more images per mask appearance.

The are currently 10 acts. The 11th act starts, but the game ends abruptly, shortly after it starts.

I would say this game is a linear visual novel. While there are almost 60 choices to make, they are, in general, only minor variations of the game. In other words, you're going to end up at the same place after either choice. However, the achievements are based on the choices. Sometimes there is an achievement for each choice, requiring you to play through multiple times to get both achievements.

The English is good, with a few spelling issues, here and there.

The Gallery

The Gallery is accessed from the title menu. There are three sections, Bonus Content, Collectibles, and Replay Scenes. The Bonus content is mainly from the DLC, six scenes and a whole lot of "alternate" image sets, I stopped counting at 70. There are 35 scenes to replay.

Final Verdict

A good story with a ton of great art. Three main female characters, one side character, and one single scene character, 35 different scenes.
