i know people are still having this problem so here's what worked for me. i installed hamachi and had all the people i want to play with join my channel and then i went to control panel > Network and internet > Network and sharing center > Advanced sharing settings then turned ON network discovery (i think the other person has to turn it on too). So i hope this works for anyone that has to deal with this pain.

none of this helps, online coop with randoms work but inviting friends doesnt let you join, tried for weeks

It didnt work for me can you somehow help me please?

just try hamachi you can download it for free

you have to use hamachi you and your friend and connect to each other then try to join to your friend

this still happening to me somehow its only mine that cannot be connected, while my other friend can connect to each other. while i try hamachi and not understanding how the hell to use it. nothing works

still unable to play with my friends. everytime we tried to join each other, we keep getting "connection failed - you couldnt't join the session, please try again later" popup. we've tried every method possible such as forwarding the game's port code into our router and using hamachi. nothing works.
