Unable to attack

I just played my first co-op mission and halfway during the mission, I was unable to initiate any attacks on enemies like I normally would using left-mouse button. Either 1) he swings his weapon around or 2) does nothing. I can't find any similar problems on forums so not sure if anyone is having the same issues.

I'm usually pretty easy-going when it comes to glitches and bugs in games but this was on a whole another level. Being in a co-op group online and able to do absolutely nothing is really frustrating. First time posting in a steam discussion board in the 10 years I've been with them.

Is it just me being a noob and missing out something? Or is Ubisoft really just trolling me out of my 60 dollars.

Happens to me too, you can randomly be unable to attack during co-op, only way to fix is to leave the session.

Awesome! Thanks for the swift replies. At least now I know it's not just me having these issues.

Performance can also be an issue, with a massive drop in frame rates at the most random of times. Anyone know of any quick fixes that can help relieve some of this stress, such as turning off AA?

Looks like I'll be paying close attention to upcoming release notes and patches to see how they address these problems.

More than 4 years later, this is still happening.
Not in coop tho.
I was in the flashback sequence where damned Arno is drunk and I suddenly found myself totally unable to perform hits during a fight. What a joke of a game.

6 years later.... Happening for me and my friend too. Great work Ubisoft, thank you for delivering this wonderful coop experience to us....

Yes still happening. Only leaving and reconnecting the session works for me

Happend to me earlier today in single player. I could only attack by running from my enemy and shooting them with manual aim. They wouldn't attack me either, we'd just stand there with our weapons drawn. I was able to fix it by fast travelling.

I have the same thing, but it isn't in coop, but in singleplayer. It didn't happen once, it happened to me (i think) about 3 or 4 at this point. I can't attack, i can't counter or block, the only thing i can do is manualy aim and shoot. This is insane...
