The boss battle was designed so that high scores could be obtained by early destruction by melee attacks. However, due to a flaw in the adjustment, the specification was such that players who persisted until just before self-destruction could earn a high score.

It was my basic policy not to make adjustments that would affect scores, but the state of "the optimal solution is to stay until the very last minute in boss battles" goes against my sense of beauty. After many years of creating the game with the intention of "trying to never let that happen," after much deliberation, I have decided to adjust the boss battle so that early destruction is advantageous in the boss battle.
